Welcome to the launch of Community News Service. This web page will contain news and feature stories about suburban Sacramento with an emphasis on Folsom, Rancho Cordova, Elk Grove, Galt, Citrus Heights, Roseville and West Sacramento. The goal of CNS is twofold: to provide citizens of our region with community-focused news coverage and to give experienced, upper-division journalism students an opportunity to hone their skills in a real-world setting. Some of the stories that appear on this page may be linked to The Sacramento Bee's website.
